Become a Logistics Partner
Seagoods doesn't have a live logistics referral program yet. Here's what we're considering, who we're looking for first, and how to start the conversation before the program exists.
Every order that closes on Seagoods eventually has to move — from a factory or farm in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, or elsewhere in Southeast Asia, to a buyer's warehouse somewhere in the world. Today, buyers and sellers coordinate that shipping themselves (see Logistics services for what's built into the platform to support it). We think there's a better version of this where a small number of freight forwarders and customs brokers become the ones Seagoods buyers and sellers turn to by default — and we're looking for the first partners to help shape what that looks like.
Where we are today
To say it plainly: there is no live logistics partnership or referral program on Seagoods yet. No commission structure, no preferred-partner badge, no integration into the checkout or order flow. This page describes what we want to build and who we want to build it with — not a program you can sign up for today. If you're looking for the full, current state of every partnership category (logistics, payments, referrals, technology), see the Partnerships page.
We're saying this upfront because the intermediaries we most want to work with — real freight forwarders and customs brokers, not aggregators — are exactly the audience that can tell a genuine early-stage conversation from a recruiting pitch dressed up as a program. This is the former.
Why talk to us now, before there's a program
- You'd be shaping the terms, not just applying for one. Referral structure, commission mechanics, and how partners get surfaced to buyers and sellers are undecided. Early conversations with real operators inform what we build, instead of us guessing.
- Seagoods sellers are concentrated in Southeast Asia, across agriculture, seafood, industrial goods, and consumer products — if you already run lanes out of Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, or elsewhere in the region, this is directly your market, not a new one you'd need to build from scratch.
- Buyers are mostly first-time or early-stage importers new to a supplier or a country — the exact profile that values a forwarder or broker who can explain the process, not just execute it. That's a different (and often stickier) relationship than serving buyers who already know exactly what they need.
What we're looking for in a first partner
- Freight forwarders or licensed customs brokers actively moving cargo on Southeast-Asia-to-North-America or Southeast-Asia-to-Europe lanes today — not aggregators or resellers of other forwarders' capacity.
- Comfort with the SKUs Seagoods sellers actually ship: agricultural commodities and processed food (cold-chain and phytosanitary experience is a real plus), industrial and consumer goods, and mixed-cargo LCL for smaller first orders.
- Willingness to work with first-time importers — buyers who need the process explained, not just a rate quote.
What a partnership could plausibly include, once it exists
We want to be direct that these are directions we're considering, not commitments: introductions when a buyer or seller on a given lane asks for a forwarder recommendation; a partner directory or preferred-partner marker inside the platform; co-marketing, like a joint case study following one real shipment end-to-end; and a referral-commission mechanism once volume and terms make one make sense for both sides. None of this exists today, and we won't quote commission numbers or guaranteed volume until it does.
Get in touch
If you run freight-forwarding or customs-brokerage operations in or into Southeast Asia and want to be part of the first conversation, email partnerships@seagoods.net with your company, the lanes and services you cover, and what a partnership would need to look like to be worth your time. There's no partnership-inquiry form built into the platform yet, so email is the way in — a real person reads every message.
